ToxicHot 6,444
I feel biased for choosing Gaga, even though she had been consistently putting out #1 albums and had JUST done the Super Bowl in 2017........ But CHER though. I mean that's honestly an AMAZING example of a real comeback. Wow. dOnT sAd ReAcT mE 2 bE sHaDy i WiLL RePoRt U!!1!
ssslyboy 3,273
1. Mimi (“We Belong together” = 14 week Hot 100 #1, the third longest running ever at the time. “WBT” and “Shake it off” #1 and #2 on Hot 100 same week, a first for a female artist. A third #1 “Don’t forget about us”. The album went 6x platinum and was first female album to be best selling of the year since 1995. She absolutely dominated during that era and that was after a meltdown and multiple flop eras. 2. Britney The reason I dont say Gaga is because she never reached the lows Britney and Mariah did before she came back. But if she does really well later this year chartwise then I might put her at #2 ahead of Britney because it would still cap a pretty big comeback. JusKeepBreathin 19,311
I don't really understand why Gaga is on that list. Did she decline so far that she needed to repeak? Joanne did well C2C did well, ARTPOP did well. ASIB did a little bit better then those albums but it's a pretty consistent and stable career. I mean she is only ten years in her career. stupidlover 42
It's Madonna tbh, she flopped so hard with American Life and then came back with CFOAD and HC which gave her 2 worldwide smashes and the highest grossing female tour of all time. Gaga wins the poll obviously because this is her forum
