Sam's already been promising this album for over a year, it had singles released but it wasn't clear if they were stand-alones or for an album. Promises is on it and that's from 2018. When you're relying on singles that far back, ones in which it wasn't even your song in the sense that it didn't have your name first, you know you're relying too much on past hits to sell it. Changing the title and possibly some of the songs is a bad sign. Art is made in the current time, with the current mood. It wasn't made with coronavirus in mind and years from now, no one will remember when the album came out and what was happening around that time, they'll just care about the music. Don't compromise your art just to please people in the here and now. A mere 2 years from now, no one's going to care about the title. The new Bond film is delayed but it's still called No Time To Die. Because all that matters is the movie, not the date in which it came out and what that phrase connotated at the time. I hope Gaga waits until late on to announce a date when she's absolutely ready and doesn't go back on it. It's the quickest way to lose fans. And don't change a thing about the songs. Then we'll be forever wonder what was intended and what wasn't and if it could have been better or worse. I just want albums in their original conception, no changes made. Yet people like you decide to make it an oppressive thing, as if you were "lying to yourself" by calling them "they". No you're not, it's literally just about being cordial and fostering a nice environment, nothing more. Him titling his album To Die For would have generated some raised eyebrows, but certainly not oUtRaGe. It's not like it would be killing people. It would just make him look like an asshole.
