When you are a fan of an artist who spent her career using fashion as activism, who speaks endlessly and with complete conviction about the power of fashion, it’s valid to not be thrilled seeing her blend in with everyone else in sweatpants. There is a value to escapism at times like this. It’s not a big deal obviously, but it is a valid observation. Keep your chin up.
pachinko 10,434
I don't understand why she didn't serve us Alicia Keys/John Lennon and perform a heartfelt performance during this challenging time. Gaga, you're a performer. It's your gift, so heal us through your artistry!

In actuality, she has worn casual clothes wayyyy earlier in her career for videos, etc as well so this isn't even new. Gaga does not have to be dressed up 24/7 as that can get quite stressful and tedious.

tifffany 373
Gaga doesn’t owe anyone anything. I’m grateful she shared a little bit of her time with us and I hope she’s taking care of herself xxx
KindnessPunk28 1,506
Guys, do NOT acknowledge the obvious troll. It's clear he/she has nothing better to do than to come into a thread of kindness and make nasty, borderline sexist, remarks about the way Gaga has chosen to dress. She obviously knows this type of event was not appropriate for high fashion (or whatever other pretentious verbiage they want to use) and I admire her even more for that. Keep rocking it Lady Gaga. You're REAL fans are always here for you!!

A casual Gaga who is not flaunting her wealth to the world in a time of crisis is a genuine one. At least imo.
matthieu 537
but again those sun glasses. can she stop wearing them lol, they really don’t fit her face and they are always crooked hot blondes in odd positions
PEZ 6,230
"I'm working hard to do what I can with my network to help expedite funding around some of the urgent needs of the world to play my small part in this global crisis" I wonder if she means 'network' casually -- like how you or I might say 'my network (of coworkers or friends) is raising funds for awareness week' or whatever -- or literally, like getting the BTWFoundation to do something. Like, is BTWF gonna work together with WHO on something? She didn't mention it by name, but she also didn't mention the organizations that were flashing their names on the screen, so I'm guessing she's doing her own thing instead of donating to those ones? ⚡🐲

She has spoken about deadly seriously issues in the most radical outfits, but never once did the fashion make the message hallow. At best it amplified it. It’s obviously not a big deal, and no one was expectingn a meat dress, but it was just a missed opportunity to provide some levity to some homosexuals.
