Schwerk 7,246
I love this. Always love people talking about their crafts, even if it's a field I don't connect with, it usually is very inspiring. In this case I'm very excited cause I've loved makeup as an artform since I was a little girl. Also love to hear them talk about the challenges they face in their field. According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch

Because Lady Gaga is in charge of Haus Laboratories, it's literally her company, and her statement about delaying the album was attributed to wanting people to focus on Coronavirus, but since delaying the album, the only things we've gotten from anything having to do with the "Lady Gaga" brand has been promoting makeup bundles, FaceTime calls about makeup, and makeup artists doing yoga. Lady Gaga hasn't come out and promoted the make up though, just like she hasn't promoted her music. Haus Labs is continuing with what it always did, which is sell make up. Have any other online shops just ground to a halt? Because as far as I can see, they are all trying to continue on. Even the tiny independent ones. The faux anger over a make up brand selling make is getting to be quite pathetic. And can we really speak to going live on Instagram when she herself isn't even utilizing the most obvious platform she has right now to do anything? She explicitly mentioned people putting forth their attention towards helping people who are financially struggling due to Coronavirus but then has no problem with her company asking people to purchase makeup? This has nothing to do with Gaga. Yes Sarah is part of Hauslabs but she is also hired by her and other people as a makeup artist. A job she cannot perform right now. Instead of charging us for her expertise, she is offering it for free. It's comparable to Richy Jackson posting dance tutorials on YouTube. Or her dancer Sloan posting workout video's on Instagram. Or Brian Newman doing paid and free house concerts. Just because they are part of the Haus or collaborators of her, doesn't mean they are exclusively hers. They have their own careers and their own time to explore things like this. The fact that she calls it hauschats is just smart marketing. This is in no way holding Gaga back, it may even inspire her to do something similar, who knows? According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch

There's a global economic crisis right at the corner of this pandemic; many companies, shops and industries just have to hold back, for safety, health and prevention because they can't allow the exposure of workers. If companies keep promoting stuff and keep things getting shipped then the only thing they're doing is stand in the way of our progress.
