I still maintain that the only good songs on that album are Hung Up and Isaac. The rest of it, forgettable. I still don't get why it's viewed as such a fan favourite, not just among fans but the public as well. Disco has never been my thing, so few can do it right. And if the lyrics aren't there, what's the point in writing a song? Just make instrumentals if it's all about the actual sonic experience. Bad lyrics have let many a good instrumental down and vice versa. It's about the whole package to meet my approval.

That's silly. Dancefloor is one word and using the letter a to signify the word a is ridiculous. It can easily be left out of an acronym. COD is fine.

the point of the song is to be stripped down of lyrics to focus on a few key points, with a fire production. A song does not have to be always the same formula. That's exactly why Confessions is brilliant. Also, the lyrics are pretty interesting:
