RAMROD 110,190
The GRAMMYs Best New Artist curse. Which she won last year, 2019. Her sophomore album, Future Nostalgia, is well received by critics, (receiving 95 on metacritics by the time of this thread posted), and pop enthusiasts alike, calling it pop perfection, and have commercial success from all singles released for this era. And her live performances is so much better than she was then. Proving with hard work, being motivated, having label support, and a great management, magic can always happen. Not many Best New Artists winner can get to this point. FAIK, she is the second one on this new age since Lorde broke hers with Melodrama. And not impossible this album and era will cement her pop career and take her to bonafide places as one of the pop upper echelons. What say you? Did she break the curse? Will Dua nominated or even actually win on big categories for GRAMMYs next year? HeavyyMetalVenuss 1,765
i think it’s also because of how much she’s improved and taken criticism correctly since her first album, a lot of artists don’t take advice correctly or evolve to keep interest without seeming like they’re trying too hard. FN in every way is an upgrade since DL, and honestly i can see dua becoming a bigger artist in the US and worldwide (more than she is already) by the end of FN and start of DL3. all hail the new main pop girl Cake like Malibu Gaga

Judas Society 3,584
I was excited when I first saw that teaser for DSN. I thought she really did reinvent her image. Then DSN debuted, I loved it, some of y'all not so much but then love her when you see her gaining the popularity recently. I didn't love Physical as much as you guys though, I still thought DSN was more interesting sonically than Physical. Break My Heart was lackluster to me. So, I'll probably listen to FN this weekend to see if it was worthy of the hype by the critics.

Jose P 23,341
I mean, she just did everything right this era. She took the criticism and evolved and improved. This is how every artist should be, correct what you’ve been criticized for and go all out to upgrade. In the Grammys well let’s see, the year is barely starting and I can see The Weeknd getting a lot of nominations. There’s also Bey and Adele coming allegedly and those two always rake the Grammys so there’s that. I won’t include Gaga bc we haven’t heard Chromatica and we don’t even know if it’s meeting the deadline (jk) Let’s see if Billie Eilish breaks the curse as well, and I hope she does so this site can seethe
