Queen Gloria 3,464
1. How do you know she thinks SL is the best song on the album? 2. We've heard one f*cking song from Chromatica F*ck outta here, sis. Lmao

Always Remember Us This Way could've been a huge hit and is one of the best ballads of this century. Adele wishes. That sound is also clearly what the GP wants from her. The Babylon version that leaked is not the final version which is going to be very different but i still liked it tbh, and i don’t think it’s going to be a single so whatever. I love Gaga’s ballads but she HAS to switch it up. She always does and i’d also get bored if we got another ballady Era after Joanne and ASIB

Well Gaga does not put the GP's wants first, so if she wants to continue going down the House/Pop route then so be it. Besides, she should not be forced to create the same type of music over and over simply for the approval of others. If you don't enjoy her current music, then simply stop listening to it. Pharamon 6,839
Why are you all acting like Future Nostalgia is a holy graal lmao... It's a solid album but that's about it. Nothing else nothing more. AOTY? lol...some of you really need to start listening to more diverse music genres than just pop.
Didymus 34,379
Just now, ReginaGeorge said: Sorry but everything about this is false. Dua actually deserved the praise she's getting with this album. Girl worked her ass of for people to know who she is and to appreciate her. You think this praise is here just because she's giving out the effortless vibe? C'mon now. She was performing every single week when DSN was released, she released at least 2 videos for every single, she did every interview possible.. Sorry but that is not effortless. It's not a trick and it won't get old because she is actually working hard on her music and for her music. Pop stars now don't do it like that anymore. With effortless vibe I obviously don't mean she's not putting in any effort But yes, I do believe that if someone else recorded these exact same songs (minus the gems Don't Start Now and Physical) there would not be big buzz about this at all. She's the it girl right now and it's affecting people's judgment, clearly, 'cause more than half of the album is unimaginative, basic pop that sounds good because it's just terrifically produced. But that does not a great album make, especially with the lack of variety on it. But anyway, I didn't mean to disrespect her or her hard work. I just think the album is already extremely overrated and people are somehow not seeing it for what it is: an unambitious collection of sounds we've already heard thirty times before, years ago, covered in a pleasant-on-the-ear but sadly not hard-hitting production sound. Give it a few years and the reception of this album will turn, trust me on this. It's too derivative and unoriginal to survive like this. Just my opinion. It's smooth, refreshing, and catchy. That also.. But it just doesn't feel like shameless mainstream record.. You can just tell she wanted this album to be what it is and she really had a concept in mind.. It's not like she got bunch of producers who decided for her. messybottom 10,579
not even gonna bother reading that whole thing but just remember this. Gaga is almost 12 years into her career. She has absolutely nothing left to prove. At this point she's having fun and doing what makes HER happy.
Giorno Giovanna 3,178
I agree with most things you say, however I see it less harsh. Gaga's chosen her own course, and one needs to respect that. And to be honest, the BTW era was a lot of fun. I really loved The Edge Of Glory Video. Maybe her music just became too much of a niche product visually/sonically/lyrically, that people stopped caring. I kinda miss that universal vibe too actually. このジョルノジョヴァンナ夢がある

Bjaf 1,336
It’s fine that you feel this way, I just don’t see why it’s necessary for you to post this on a Gaga fan forum, like at all. If she and her music have been really important for you when you were younger, but you don’t feel that way any longer, you can just take that as it is, and move on. What are you still doing here, criticizing the cover of an album that’s been out for almost ten years now? If you’ve been critical of her work for so many years — why are you still here? Lumiere 5,717
I hope this doesn't sound mean or rude, but try to stan Dua Lipa for a while and totally ignore Gaga, even after Chromatica's been released. I think that way you'll see why you loved Gaga in the first place?
zakariah 11,721
uhm... gaga's whole brand/career has been about being an 'anti-pop star' though... so maybe you don't really get her like you think you do?
Mirrion Rizzons 11,075
14 minutes ago, Bobbins said: Her new album 'Future Nostalgia' takes a throwback sound and makes it sound fresh and not dated. Her music videos have been visually stunning and professionally directed. And even though she isn't the best dancer, the choreography/dance breakdowns for her performances have done wonders for her stage presence. This might be one of my last posts on here tbh. I'm tired of Gaga's ego and the ego of little monsters on here saying we can't critique her poor choices in her career. The BTW ghastly motorcycle album cover was a choice. The consistently poorly directed and edited music videos for Million Reasons, The Edge of Glory, Stupid Love (+ its cringe choreography) has also been a choice. The way she explained Chromatica in the Zane interview also made it sound like her trying to make a simple concept sound more complicated than it is. If I am being honest, I think Gaga has lost her drive and her creativity. The Babylon leak also sounds awful and dated. I know a lot of you won't care and this thread will probably be closed, but Gaga did mean a lot to me when I was 13 years old. As a kid who has homophobic christian parents, living as an immigrant in the UK, trying to do well academically while struggling with my sexuality and my place in society - Gaga's music and art helped me a lot. But I am not that same uneducated 13 year old who would watch Gaga interviews and think she was a smart popstar because she used some fancy words. Or that she was different from other pop singers because she wrote socially conscious lyrics. Literally so MANY other pop artists in the mainstream do that now. The fact that she thinks Stupid Love is the best song on the album worries me the most because it shows how out of touch and oblivious her and her team are. The song is dropping like a rock on all streaming avenues (which is understandable because she released it even though snippets of it have been online since last year showing how incompetent her team are + it sounds dated, has an awful music video and has no replay value; the song honestly is noisy and jarring to listen to like Perfect Illusion). She wasted her ASIB hype and this Coronavirus epidemic is going to last for more than just a few months (especially considering how fast it is spreading in America and how **** America's healthcare system is) which will disrupt all plans for promo. Sorry but unless she pulls it around with a second single my stan card will be in jeopardy. She needs to learn from Dua Lipa and make music that is truly universal and fresh and isn't just catered towards queer fans (and a lot of queer fans reject her new music anyway and want her to go back to the TFM sound). She needs a BRUTALLY honest focus group who will tell her what is good and what is awful/cringy on her new album. That's my peace there. ok
