Moving the day forward was as much as a business decision for Dua as it was for Gaga to postpone her album. And I am sure in both cases it was a decision made mostly by the label

Yes it was dumb. Dua deserves the praise, Gaga deserves to stay silent for the year so she can't take the focus in finding solutions to the pandemic

All reviewers are basically praising Dua for releasing an upbeat album in the middle of a pandemic 
Was it a dumb move for Gaga/Interscope to kill all the hype and give Dua the center stage? 

Gaga's dancing through the pain...or Dua is? Praise to Dua! But she had to release it because of the leak. She could have easily changed her mind just before the original release date. However, Gaga was releasing on the 10th, that's ages away, especially during an pandemic such as this. Gaga also doesnt have a global smash hit already to support the album - she's in a different circumstance to Dua and The Weeknd.

She could do tons of radio promo and use all of her social media channels. It's not a horrible scenario. With her talent she'd easily go viral with a stripped down acoustic performance of her songs, even if she just sang it in her bathroom, y'all are so unimaginative, I can't
