They were so obviously going over everything to decide if it's still feasible to carry on or wait. It's too soon to say if they made the right decision (we'll see how Dua Lipa does as one example), but anyone with a brain should have known that this was the major discussion they were having. There was no point in releasing a cover or tracklist if they still didn't know if the roll out would continue. No sense reassuring fans it is coming if they don't know yet. They clearly had a lot of stuff planned, most of which would be compromised by the pandemic. (eg. It looks like they were planning a surprise Coachella set during release week). The team had to decide if they could continue with a half assed version of their plan, or do they have enough time to come up with a new plan that's feasible. I feel like most mature posters were aware of that but there is a very loud immature group who refused to see this. I think that latter group owes Gaga an apology.
