I hope it actually makes sense. Unlike SL. The verses of SL does not correlate to a “Stupid Love” at all.

How so? The verses make perfect sense in my opinion.

“Nobody’s going to heal me if I don’t open the door”- you can’t shut yourself out. Have to be willing to receive love.

“Kinda hard to believe, gotta have faith in me”- don’t overthink it. Let yourself blindly follow love, even if it’s hard to believe.

“I would battle for you, even if we break in two”- you can’t really find love by playing it safe. You can’t overthink it. There will always be that chance that you’ll get hurt, but there isn’t an alternative.

The rest is self explanatory. I’m kinda shook that so many of you don’t get the lyrics to stupid love. The genius of her songwriting is how simple it is yet how tightly and neatly it fits together.  That’s not an easy thing to do. I’m not good at explaining things but the lyrics absolutely fit the meaning

Mr Oak

she could use Babylon as a symbol for Hollywood or the music industry where people babble on and there's gossip, thus "BabbleOn". Then, she could make a metaphor about the destruction of it or its Gardens and something similar in Hollywood.

I really don't know but I try:poot:

I’m in your boat! Seeing a lot of people not understand SL is baffling me :air:

I think maybe some people are misinterpreting her use of “Stupid” as her meaning “bad, dumb, illogical etc.”

But I think she’s actually using it to mean “simple/pure” or even as a substitute for an expletive, as in “I want your f***ing love!”

I want your love SIMPLE AS THAT

I DONT NEED A REASON!!!

I just want your STUPID love already!!!
