ASIB has been out for well over a year though - I don't know if that's a fair example to measure. I can see them waiting to find out how the Weeknd performs - it's too late to pull that album; seeing how new music fairs in the current situation is probably a better way to gage the impact it's having on sales and streams. I agree with you I think the no competition climate could really help in terms of strength of the gap between chromatica vs #2 album. its just if it affects sales overall it wont be doing her usual 200k debuts stateside. It’s understandable for the label/musician, but we need good music right now. With everyone holed up at home we’ll have more time for movies, music, video games and books.
