This. Her voice on The Fame and the tongue-in-cheek fun of the album reminded me a lot of Gwen’s humor in her music at the time.
 

Although after listening to Gaga’s vocals, going back to Gwen’s at the time was hard because hers felt less full.

All of the above. It's not the looks so much as the voice. "Summerboy" easily could be a Gwen Stefani song. 

I'd love to hear LG cover "Don't Speak."

Specially in her older tracks, the influence is very, very clear.
