Bio 23,538
I don't know why she feels like she absolutely needs to write happy songs. Best work usually comes from pain and trauma. Avoiding it won't do no good for her work or her soul.

To me she’s just trying and finding other ways to heal. She’s written so many songs about her traumas and difficulties, I think she now wants to cultivate a positive mind and environment while still expressing what’s on her mind but turning it into something happy and maybe a bit less heavy to cope with. I get what you're saying about being authentic, but do we really want another Dope, Swine, DWUW, etc album? Nope...we need to dance again...it's been too long especially if this will be the last album we hear from her in a while Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify! Bradley 59,023
A summary for those who need it: 1. She said she loves the gheys. 2. She said she wrote Stupid Love while she was single, and the song is made intentionally to be very direct and simple. She believes that there are too many obstacles in the world that prevents us from wanting each other's stupid love but it's all we ever wanted. She created this with love. 3. Gaga was asked whether she preferred the studio or the stage. She chose the studio, she was actually doing the interview in the studio she wrote Chromatica in. 4. She didn't like to be single and she thinks her career was thriving at the expense of her personal life. She found it surprising that she ended up writing happy celebratory music even though she was very down and she realised how strong she was. (Chromatica will be very joyous I guess) 5. When asked about coronavirus: She extends her love for anyone who is suffering, who's afraid of getting it. She sounded like she studied it a lot. 6. She confirmed that she will be touring the Chromatica Ball, meaning that she's still not considering to cancel it. 7. She said "I can't wait to see you soon." but she says that to the whole world

Best work usually comes from pain and trauma. Avoiding it won't do no good for her work or her soul. It's actually the contrary, she never meant to write happy songs, they just came out that way. She says that she in fact wanted to write sad music: “It wasn’t just about that, I had other things in my life and other traumas that were hard for me but my producer would come up to me in my kitchen and he would say, ‘Come on let’s go write a song’ and I would either be crying or being like, I don’t know, I’m just going to write something sad and he’s like, ‘Come on, let’s go. We’re gonna go write some music’. She wasn't feeling good while writing, but she realized that in the process, the lyrics and melodies were more happy and hopeful, meaning she was in a better state of mind actually. she was sad, yeah, but deep inside she had a lot of faith and hopes for the future, which translated into her music. As a songwriter myself, this happens to me all the time, and of course, Gaga and I have different ways of writing a song, but I think it happens to everyone when feeling sad; deep inside we know that things eventually get better and it's the way life goes, so that's what she wanted to express maybe, she felt hopeful while making this album, and wanted to give that feeling to the world, that's why Chromatica is all about "colors" and "dancing through pain", is basically a celebration of our experiences as human beings and a celebration of love, kindness and faith.
