Zeth 948
Yeah, no, if you support this theory because it’s “trendy and cool” to hate on USA, then you’re a clown. We should probably wait until the world is healed (literally and figuratively) before we start pointing fingers at one another, anyway. The people who are scared and uneducated will resort to the blame game. The others will be the ones that unite to ensure this doesn’t become a problem again. China’s citizens have become victims of a system of ignorance more than anything else. https://www.aao.org/headline/coronavirus-kills-chinese-whistleblower-ophthalmol
Doug 186
Do they honestly think that the US would be stupid enough to think that the virus would only affect China and not eventually spread here lol
Lilmonzter 2,864
Since we are peddling conspiracy theories here Saw a much more plausible one on twitter Take a read and talk after Sing C'est la vie
DeleteMyAccount 11,881
It could be fake, but I thought I saw a post suggesting that China already tore down the building where they believe the virus originated. Again, that could also be a conspiracy.. At this point I don't think we'll ever know the origins.
Guest
Oh my god, after reading this post I can't believe how ignorant some people can be and then do as they know everything. First of all China is not to blame, they have not created that virus, they would have no reason to. I love the US I lived there for a while, but I am definitely sure that this is something they could do. For those saying that what we are living is their fault, I would like to say that they might have been the best exemple in the management of the crisis. Unfortunately for us there are so many things happening in the highest spheres of the power that we will never know so it could be true.

Franch Toast 27,765
Oh my goodness, where to begin? We don't know the origin of the virus yet. There is speculation, but nothing has bene confirmed. That bat soup video was from years ago and was filmed on some island in the Pacific I believe, not in China. Something I read today suggested it could have been transferred from bats to another species of animal and then to humans via fecal matter, but that's only a theory. China has a huge population. The percentage of people who eat wildlife is extremely small, just as the percentage of Americans who eat alligators and squirrels is very small. I don't know any Chinese person who eats exotic animals (or dogs or cats for that matter). Also, who's to say what is "normal" food? Different cultures eat different things and have different conventions for a variety of reasons. To some, cheese is f*cking weird and disgusting. Mainland Chinese people often get a bad rap outside of China, even in places with a lot of other ethnically Chinese people such as Taiwan or Hong Kong. And yet, with such a large population, you're going to have a range of behaviors. Let's not assume all mainland Chinese are the same. Also, I lived in China for several years, in different cities, and I almost always dined out. I ate street food, I ate in hole-in-the-wall restaurants, I ate in super fancy restaurants. (Street food was my favorite.) I don't recall ever having food poisoning from anything, and the food was delicious, much better than bland, western food. (I'm a white American for what it's worth.) Meanwhile, I've gotten food poisoning a few times from western restaurants in the US, in two instances so bad that I had to seek medical treatment. Let's not perpetuate stereotypes that Chinese people are dirty, backward, eat "weird" things, or are somehow inferior to other people. Sure, there are some mainland Chinese who fall into this category, but you'll find people of every cultural and nationality who do as well. The PRC government is a different matter of course, and I think it's fair to criticize them for their initial handling of things, especially the suppression of information, though more recently I think they've been doing a fairly good job at containment. But just as I wouldn't want people to equate me with Trump's government because I'm an American, it's not fair to assume that all mainlanders are CCP stooges. As for the conspiracy theories floating around, who in the world knows! She/Her/Hers

Red 99,597
Conspiracy theories about viruses are so laughable, all of them As if a virus knew borders and contained itself to a specific country, if the US really did that they are just straight up amoebas, to think the virus would stay there and never reach their soil If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.
