There is a disconnect there. They media doesn't want people to panic, so they would naturally try to mitigate the real severity of the issue. Hence why when you look at actual facts, or look for more information from actual doctors, the entire things seems so much worse to you.

Again, influenced by the media.

Honestly I'd have to say, if you didn't expect this virus to get to the points it's in now, you're drinking too much of that kool-aid.

 

PS: I did not say that the media was the one making you worry, only that it seems to have heavily influenced you.

No, the Corona virus is 10x more deadly than the flu. Also, no one is immune and there is no vaccine or treatment to shorten the symptoms. (Tamiflu) It’s far more contagious and has a longer incubation period.

i expected the virus to spread i DID NOT expect the virus to be as deadly as some people are saying it is. idk what you're trying to imply here. and of course i'm influenced by the media, it's called the NEWS how else are you going to learn what's going on in the world i'm confused by your comments tbh

There are vulnerable people in the world:  old people, children, poor people, people already living with compromised health. Sure many of us will survive this, but this disease will threaten the most vulnerable of the society. 

 

You can get it and not display any symptoms at all because you are healthy. Okay. But how about you parents? Sibling, nephews or nieces? Friends with poor health conditions? If you come in contact with them and you are a carrier, they are easy target for this virus. 

 

Don't downplay it but also don't panic. Always wash your hands. Sanitize your tables, doorknobs, elevator buttons, etc. Stay healthy people.

Wrong. Cloroquine and Hidroxycloroquine are showing amazing results, reducing people's hospitalization from 2-3 weeks to just 4 days, it works great in severe cases and its already available all over the world. We are probably days away from it being confirmed as the worldwide official treatment.

Remdesivir will get confirmed mid-april and is showing great results as well.

You need to look at all sides before you share stuff as facts, people are getting really anxious and outdated-info comments like yours dont help anyone.

From John Hopkins: As of now, there is not a specific treatment for the virus. People who become sick from COVID-19 should be treated with supportive measures: those that relieve symptoms. For severe cases, there may be additional options for treatment, including research drugs.

 

There are no approved treatments for illnesses caused by coronaviruses. The first two drugs you listed have not been studied here for Coronavirus or completed trials in the US. Remdesivir is still going through trials in China. It would take months to get approved and get supplied here.

 

This information isn’t outdated. It is the current situation. We can’t even get people tested here like all other countries are able to do. The US is lagging behind on simple tests, because we rejected the test from Germany. We will do the same, if not worse, with medicine. 

Before you accuse me of something, look at the reality of the current situation in this country.
