Are radios just not spinning it? They played it a lot day one and then just stopped? So it was a bit of payola but then it didnt pay off and people aren’t requesting it enough?

Radio is playing it.  It had the most increased plays last two days in a row.

They do seem to like it tho

Maybe just not enough to play it that much themselves...

Either that, or Gaga isn't very in their minds yet and so they like the song but still don't think about it much

It's easier to instantly start playing a song from an artist you like and add it to your playlist. So hotter younger artists might get that boost faster

Gaga not being this generations hottest artist (she only had 1 big hit Shallow in years since Applause) is not into most people's minds

If u like a song but it's not from an artist ur super into u might still have to hear it several times before u decide to start streaming it on ur own. I know it happens to me all the time

With any luck that's all that's happening with Gaga... But the general reviews on the song HAVE been POSITIVE!

I agree!

I was mainly referring to the "let's have a plan", I mean there's nothing that we can do, we can't force a song to be successful or force people to like it, it should come naturally, we just need to sit, enjoy the song and see how things are going..

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

Yes, it will fall down to about #20,  but then it will slowly rise back to Top 10 by album week.  Meanwhile single #2 will debut even higher and by then no one will care that SL dropped in its second week.  Bookmark me.

Yes. AND radio is spinning it, people like it

What should the next plan be?

I mean, if the gp don't like it, we can't really force it on them :laughga:

You can do this, just saying.  Quick, easy & effective.

Our next plan is to sit back and enjoy the song.

This. We did our job to skyrocket the song during the first week, now we just kick back and let it do it’s thing. A hit song isn’t a hit because a fan base carries it for weeks- it’s a hit because the gp has embraced it. If it’s meant to climb the charts then praise the lord. If not, then oh well! It’s not the end of the world lol.

Been a cuff touple, a puff bupple, a tough couple of years.

I’m thinking once they see the song drop they will get there butts into gear and get gaga to start promoting the song through interviews and performances :awesome:

I don't care about SL's chart position after this week's nice debut, I am already hyped about the second single rumors :legend:

Ever since they changed the rules for Dance/Electronic singles to only include DJs and not popstars, I don't expect the usual Dance/Electronic Chart #1 that Gaga used to always get for every single. But like I said IDC, gurl has plenty of chart success to brag about, she doesn't need more at this moment and we don't need to stress about whether or not it happens

Now back to piecing together clues for the Robert Rodriguez-directed "Rainy Eyes" feat. Ariana Grande, Sleeping One of the Silver Tribe :laughga:

We need the 2nd single this week so It can also peak in top 5 at least and then no one will care about SL drop.

Nobody cares if SL drops, because it will drop, OBVIOUSLY. :trollga:

Then it can climb again to top 10 with radio. :classy:

Chill, it's not so dramatic. :icega:

Stupid Love is the first song ever TO DEBUT at #1 on the Dance/ Elctronic chart though.

But we need a 2nd single anyway. Singles released before the album is out always perform better because no one has listened to it yet.

Radio is picking up why did this need a thread? If you have questions about it’s commercial performance there is already a chart thread for it...

I really, really don’t understand the obsession with charts and streams and all that. Like it literally could not matter less. Gaga will make plenty of money regardless so our Queen is fed, happy and thriving, releasing music we enjoy and that she’s proud of. Like...I’m 100% certain she’s not bothered by anything except if we /enjoy/ the song, which is how we all should be. She didn’t make the song to perform on charts, she made it for us to bop to. There is no “plan”. The plan is enjoy the song and wait for the album, hennies 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’ve said the same thing about many fandoms, not just us, and it really is disappointing and frustrating to see people so concerned about statistical performance. And for what? A twitter post saying it topped out at #1? Can’t relate 😭
