I think only fans care about that, not the media or casual listeners. Given Chromatica's theme... if the whole album follows that specific storyline, then the song isn't there either. 

"Aura" was amazing, it is unfortunate that the political climate was not optimal for the song to be released as a single. I remember they were debates about the track on TV, and the song was not even officially sent to radios, etc. 

Imagine if the song became an actual single, it would've brought even more negativity towards her. She had enough of that during ARTPOP. 

But yeah, I would have loved to see "Aura" as the official ending of the "trilogy".

Gaga tweeted the continuation would be on ARTPOP during a Q&A. Gaga must not understand cinematic effect either.
