Klou 2,414
Radioactive is at #4 in iTunes! And I never saw it coming for Imagine Dragons. Yay! Keep rising! And it seems Lil Wayne would most likely cut short the reign of Justin Timberlake next week. Will it be another 900K opening week seller? Let's wait and see. :reno: Really impressive considering it hasn't even been released to pop radio yet  If it were getting heavy airplay on pop it would be #1 on iTunes right now. CHANTEL 2
Now with the incredible opening week sales pulled by the comeback album of Justin Timberlake in an era currently dominated by the likes of Bieber, Bruno Mars and Rihanna, my eyes are now set towards yet another act who started in the 1990's, none other than Billboard's Artist of the 2000's decade, Eminem who has already sold more than 100 million albums under his belt since his meteoric rise back in 1999. I've never seen a male artist who's heavily consistent in both selling albums and singles all throughout since Michael Jackson. In terms of cumulative sales, Justin Timberlake isn't that close to Eminem's. They're simply polar opposites, but it seems they'd be the ones battling it out for the biggest album of this year, and who knows, even for the GRAMMY's top prize next year as well. As for the female pop mainstays, I'm only expecting for Katy Perry to pull her most impressive numbers yet, given the success of her previous era. I can already see that she'd most likely (and conveniently) collect her 8th to 10th HOT 100 #1 with her upcoming album which would further cement her place as among the most successful acts of the 21st century in American music. And at 25, Rihanna would surely be her biggest competitor for that feat, in terms of accumulating HOT 100 #1s like hot cakes. Moreover, unfortunately, I could not personally say the same for Beyonce. She may still be a successful businesswoman with her own million-dollar empire along with Jay Z, but I highly doubt she could still become the same Beyonce who ruled back in the 2000's decade, at least in the charts. And as much as I love Britney Spears, same could be said towards her. However, both of them would without a doubt be still regarded as among the greatest music icons of the world, in almost the same vein of the likes of Madonna and Mariah Carey, thanks to their astounding record sales amounting to hundreds of millions. As for Gaga, I'd say I'm wishing and hoping only the best for her in ARTPOP and beyond. Eminem is overrated tbh. It's annoying that the GP actually really likes him, all the boys at my school just listen to him and don't look at other singers except really big hits or Gangam Style and Harlem Shake. I really hope ARTPOP will sell more then 1 million in the first week.

craig 680
Eminem appears 8 times on that list The encouraging thing, is people who sell 750k once tend to do it again and again. Once the album buying fanbase is created, they tend to repeat behavior. Same thing happens with Rihanna, only in singles sales.

Once the album buying fanbase is created, they tend to repeat behavior. Same thing happens with Rihanna, only in singles sales. That's what I'm saying with ARTPOP's sales. People think that Gaga won't sell a lot because of Born This Way's singles not being so successful and how long Gaga is taking with ARTPOP. Eminem takes just as long as Gaga if not longer to come out with his albums. And he still has successful sales. Oh and Taylor Swift had a VERY disappointing era singles wise with Speak Now but Red still sold over a million. Once you have people who buy albums, it tends to continue to happen. I expect huge numbers for ARTPOP.
