boysboysboys 278
Anything but HS would do, I guess. I just think that I could not accept if ever HS would turn out as a lengthy chart leader this year all because of a meme, given that compared to the other singles in the top five, it's not even close to their digital sales or radio impressions. It also seems that without the inclusion of YouTube views, Thrift Shop could arguably have instead spent 8 weeks atop the HOT 100 chart. That could have been a record-breaking achievement for the independent acts. I think all songs deserve chances, don't you? :) It's definitely catchy. Also, it's always nice to see something new. Finally, consider that those views are not with a label staunchly promoting the artist. I just think the rules work this instance.
Mariano 958
Hot 100 is a song chart and As much as I am happy about including youtube views to the formula I can't accept HS ruling the chart for so long :X While beating only on Youtube views... and I will understand If someone actually likes the song but It is awful I can listen to it only 1 minute and PFHCauhxgsd

Tommymonster44 0
I cannot believe that HS has already tied TS's # of weeks atop the HOT 100 chart mainly thanks to the YouTube views of a meme. And that's despite all the notable declines in streaming, overall radio, digital sales, and even its online momentum, according to the very own words of Billboard. On the other hand, I'm happy with the increases in radio, streaming, and sales of the singles of Bruno Mars, Rihanna, and Justin Timberlake. Hopefully, in two weeks time, we'd have a new HOT 100 #1. You can't lose what you never had. HS never even gained on the radio and in streaming. It's radio peak is around 40.

Dangerous Man 9,245
Why are the radio updates mostly negative? Mediabase are somewhat doing an adjustment on how they scan AI. Maybe they realized the big gap on the AI they scanned in comparison to the AI scanned by Nielsen BDS (the one that is being used by Billboard in getting radio updates). Plus, they are doing this in all radio formats so those songs with many formats loses more AI. For example, WIWYM is being played at Pop, HAC, AC, Rhytmic, etc so it lost more AI than 22 which is only being played at Pop radios (maybe in some country radios also). btw I'm not good in speaking english language so I might have explained it incorrectly.
