Beyonce got a little bit of a sales bounce from her half-time performance at the Super Bowl, but not a lot. Her top-selling song in the first full week following the performance was “Crazy In Love†(featuring Jay-Z), which sold 33K copies during the week. It was followed by “Halo†(32K), “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)†(22K) and “Love On Top†(18K). But compared to the 104 million people who watched her performance, those sales tallies are puny.

Meh it should have been higher but it's nothing out of the ordinary,i mean there were weeks when rihanna(with WHYB) katy(with wide awake) chris brown(don't wake me up) and neyo(let me love u)all had over 130 mil A.I on radio yet sold less than 50k.

Jesus christ. I can't take another novelty dance song. I just can't. These songs are ruining music. Harlem Shake isn't even good. At least Gangnam Style was decent for a novelty song. This song is pure ****. Why the **** do people buy this ****ty music?? If radio starts playing it, I'm done.

Seriously though, people keep complaining about how crappy modern music is, and how pop stars make terrible music and all that stuff, yet they keep feeding the beast buying these dreadful viral songs like if they were masterpieces.

I understand the trend of indie artists surfacing to the mainstream, though. It's clear that the audience needs a break from the publicity stunts and overexposed faces.

I'd rather listen to Call Me Maybe, Gangham Style, and Thrift Shop on repeat than the latest radio songs by M5, Bruno, and Timberlake, or a whole album of grey boring Mumford.

In fact, I have a double album of one hits wonders from the 80s and 90s and almost every song rocks and is non-generic.
