With WANEGBT at #53 on itunes, the lesson is clear - the song has little appeal beyond the teenage girl Swift fans who already have it.

Stay video is crap. It'll still do it for the song since it's Rihanna

S&T must die. Don't really like Mirrors, but it's better than S&T.

Taylor lost all my respect.

GRAMMYS are still a joke awards.

Katy still grammy-less. Sad though, she deserves grammys more than rihanna 'does'. bye

so your saying grammy is a joke coz Katy can't have grammys? :smh:

I love katy and all the songs in teenage dream but If i were one of the judges, neither I will gave her a grammy. She needs more mature music. She needs to improve her vocals. She's not Taylor Swift that can release whatever song she likes then submit it and the grammy will accept it. She needs to prove more of herself. Well, if the rumor is true that she'll be releasing darker music on her next album, she might win next time.

Even if I don't agree that katy should have a grammy yet, I never and will never dissed her for being a non-grammy artist or laugh because of it. I respect her and her music. Plus, grammy is not the only relevant music award show nowadays. Katy already earned respect even without grammys.

Stay is currently number 2 on itunes and will take over Ho hey soon. while WIWYM is also rising. Can't wait for these ballads to slay dem charts... :legend:

Yay! Still hoping for Stay to enter the top 10 of the HOT 100. The video may not be her best so far, but it's commendable that she's trying something new, at least for her. Congratulations also to Bruno Mars for his two singles, both LOOH and WIWYM, being part of the top 10 of iTunes.

Anyway, glad that Justin Timberlake's S&T is still in the upper half of the iTunes top five. Here for it to return to the top 10 of the HOT 100. Double great news for him as 20/20 Experience is #1 in iTunes as a pre-order.

The backlash seems too real for Taylor Swift after her GRAMMY performance which has further alienated One Direction's fans. But at least IKYWT spends a 4th week atop the Pop Songs chart. So, good for her.

I haven't watched Stay video yet but I bet it's just a simple video, maybe simpler than CKB. I'll wacth it later.

and it's really commendable that WIWYM is rising despite of the grammy effect. I can't imagine where would be it now if Bruno performed it. But anyway, I hope his grammy performance help his album to sell more this week and will have greater longevity then surpassed Doo-Wops sales. :excited2:

I'm hoping also for S&T to re-enter top 10 in BB. I wonder if his album can outsell Femme and Fatale.

Grammy had really change everything. It even slowed down the unstoppable Thrift Shop, well, at least for now.

Grammies deck is stacked against pop singers. They have to show longevity to win awards. They have to compete with Adele types who aren't even the same genre really. Meanwhile if you're in indie rock or R&B, all you need if commercial success and awards will follow.

One hit wonder Gotye who sounds like Sting - song of the year! Chris Brown - 2 Grammies last year!. They even shut the dance-pop girls out of the dance category now - the one category that Britney and Kylie were once able to be honoured.

Well, I don't see any problem with that? I mean it's their own rules and criteria. It's up to them who will be the winners because logically it's their award show. No one is perfect so you can't expect to be perfect at all. AMA has also their own criteria so I'm not questioning them for not giving gaga more credit, well at least she has one trophy from them.

Just because the artists you think are deserving to win some awards and didn't won that category means the award show isn't reliable anymore. What will you do? Make your own award show instead? And then the critics will be always there to question your work/judgement.

Nothing in this world looks perfect for everyone, you might like it but the others may not and vice verse. God is not here to confirm everything.

Ditto on all areas.

Let's face it guys: the Grammys are bull****. Even if Gaga won an award, it will not obscure from the truth and how full of crock it is.

if that's true then the other music award shows are worse.

I bet most of you who are saying that had their faves lost the award. :smh:

this performance is the most watched among the grammy 2013 performances so far. Bruno and Rih tribute to Bob Marley was just so epic, esp. Bruno's part. :legend:

Glad their performances paid off and now their songs are slaying the charts. :flutter:

Despite the reported heavy politics involved, the GRAMMYs is still the music industry's most illustrious award-giving body to an extent that it's already synonymous to the celebration of the industry itself. It's being regarded, for decades already, as the highest recognition in the same way the film industry has the OSCARs, the television industry has the EMMYs, and those in theatre has the TONYs. At the end of the day, regardless of the issues and controversies, arguably every musician's dream is to win a GRAMMY.

And for Gaga, as a female pop star who pushes the envelope, to win not just 1 GRAMMY but 5 for two consecutive years, it's already an astounding accomplishment. She's also among those who've been heavily nominated for the past years, considering she's a pop star. Same goes with Rihanna who has won 6 GRAMMYs (or 7 if you'd consider Rihanna's claim), well half of them is due to her collaboration with Kanye West. Both Gaga and Rihanna have accumulated GRAMMYs in such a short period of time, compared to the likes of Madonna who has won 7 GRAMMYs in a 3-decade career and Mariah Carey who has 5 GRAMMYs in a two-decade career.

It seems the GRAMMYs, as a whole, is embracing these female pop stars more than they used to - which is a good thing.
