ryhanna 3,507
Ironically, nobody ever mentions Gangnam Style anymore. Gangnam Style died ridiculously fast. Everybody's going to look back on that song in shame.
Ozzy8923 9
I predict one more hit for Macklemore. Most likely Same Love. I've noticed this recurring trend of one hit wonders becoming 2 hit wonders and then stalling after that. They shall suffer the same fate! Quote me on this later. LMFAO: 1. Party Rock Anthem 2. Sexy & I Know It I forgot what the single after was called. All I know is that it flopped. Carly Rae Jepsen: 1. Call Me Maybe 2. Good Time This Kiss flopped. fun.: 1. We Are Young 2. Some Nights. Carry On flopped. Sia: 1. Wild Ones. 2. Titanium . She Wolf flopped. Then there's Gotye and PSY who we all knew never had a chance of having another successful single. - 3 +1 WILL.I.AM & BRITN... Scream And Shout 11872 +147 1113 -45 92.803 +1.799 76 2 3 11872 2182 92.803 #1 C'MON! This'll be her eighth #1 on Pop: ...Baby One More Time Oops!...I Did It Again Toxic Womanizer Circus S&M I Wanna Go

And by the looks of this year, it won't be any better. It's almost like pop music is cursed.

It's almost like pop music is cursed. Ironic, isn't it? The biggest hits of the year are from relatively new acts, but the ones that come out on top and manage longevity and constant success are the main pop girls. :legend:

Mills 446
Justin Timberlake is unveiling a new song at the Grammy's And he's performing Suit & Tie as well. So far with the all the new songs he has given out from his 20/20 Experience album, I'm starting to doubt that he could pull a smash single from his album. It seems the album sales, well at least in its opening week, would be the only thing I'd most look forward to from his new era. 3 +1 WILL.I.AM & BRITN... Scream And Shout 11872 +147 1113 -45 92.803 +1.799 76 2 3 11872 2182 92.803 #1 C'MON! I thought S&M was already huge in radio at that time, even prior to the release of the Britney-assisted remix, making her Pop Songs #1 hits at 6 at the most. If S&S hits the top spot, well hopefully, Britney would tie with Gaga with 7 chart leaders, the third-most #1s in the said chart, only behind P!nk who has 8 #1s, and then Rihanna and Katy Perry, both with 9 #1s, the most in the Mainstream Top40 history. Mills 446
Lady Gaga and Pink number ones > katy riri and brit number ones :) That's true. Most Pop Songs #1s of Gaga have way outsold the Pop Songs #1s of those three you've mentioned. None of them even have an entry in the top 10 best-selling digital songs of all time, while Gaga has managed to secure two with Just Dance and Poker Face. But that's also the worry I've with Gaga. Most, if not all, of her most successful singles came from her earlier albums while the bulk of the best-selling singles of her contemporaries come from their most recent eras. Mills 446
Yes, I hope this will change with ARTPOP Same here. It's been a long time since she topped the Pop Songs chart. And hopefully the lead single of ARTPOP would be able to do that, given the anticipation and the thirst for a new music material from her. It would also be a great way to continue her streak of her lead singles from her full length studio albums reaching the top of the HOT 100 chart and the Pop Songs chart.

She need atleast one mega smash hit (bigger than BTW) as a lead single incase her next singles do just fine. Otherwise she'd need her second single to smash too :X In my opinion she must have 5 number ones this era and all of them 5 million + sales (the lead single 8 million + , the second single 6=7 million, the next 3 doesn't matter how much just more than 5 million) :derpga:
