Very happy for Macklemore even though I don't like the song

Home has now sold over 3.7 million in digital sales, securing Phillip Phillips to have the 2nd best-selling single for any American Idol alumni, just behind Kelly Clarkson's Stronger. And he did it after almost 8 months since its release. He does have longevity, which I did not expect from him.

I honestly do not get the hate for Maroon 5 :rip:

I don't stan for them, but seriously. I don't hear anything wrong with Payphone (minus Wiz), OMN, and DL

I don't hate them, but I don't enjoy their music. It seems rather bland and boring to me. Basically Maroon 5 is just Rihanna without the killer beats, s-x appeal, and controversy to me. So it annoys me when something so bland tops the charts for so long. Everyone is here talks about how Rihanna doesn't write her own music and Katy Perry sold out with Teenage Dream, but they gloss over the fact that Maroon 5 is part of that group. They sold out to the masses and don't write their music, either.

This board talks about how C'mon isn't doing well because it's just your average song. I find that Locked Out of Heaven by Bruno and One More Night by Maroon 5 are just average songs, too. I mean, there's nothing wrong with them. But compared to many of the other songs that are/were in the top 10 at the time, I don't feel like they deserved such a massive Billboard and Radio reign. There were so many better songs that should have topped the charts instead. LOOF and OMN weren't standouts for me, they were just average. This makes me question as to why they are being treated as stand out pop smashes by the radio and public.

Well I see your point but I'm talking about the people that say Payphone is cringe-worthy or god awful. Like I know it's not an amazing song, but is it really that horrible? Especially in this day and age?

I don't hate them. But OMN been No.1 for 9 weeks was totally unfair and boring

Wow, I expected him to sink like a rock on the charts 2 or 3 months after Home's release... Props to him for lasting so long :golfclap:

I haven't enjoyed anything they've done since Songs About Jane (which was my album in 2004 lol), but the fact that they've sold out when they are IMO more talented than the other two artists you named is really unfortunate.
