comrade 33
She's been lucky no other genre is taking over, yet the top 10 hasn't been overdosing on EDM. A year ago it look like Adele might spark a trend and Fun\Gotye indie might take over, but lately we had Gangnam Style and Swift's biggest hit is dubstep. Emphasis on the word "lately". It's been over-done. I mean, even Taylor ****ing Swift has found dubstep. I'm ready to predict a new and fresh R&B wave take over once Justin Timberlake and Beyonce launch their full-force offensives.
Blank Space 0
The way this is going, Gaga's electronic production-intensive sound will come off as dated when they finally decide to release something. I'm worried about this.. :ohno:

I'm ready to predict a new and fresh R&B wave take over once Justin Timberlake and Beyonce launch their full-force offensives. I know you are an R&B fan, but it's too early for a revival. I was tired of R&B by mid-90s but it took decades for 80s sounds to come back. Beyonce might have bet the market was saturated with the dance "fad" already in mid-2011, and ready for 2004 to return. Britney beat her 3-0 on Top 10 singles in US. Lately Usher and Alicia Keys had limited success, and Timberlake is under-performing. Stay will be another Cali King Bed it US too. I'm ready to predict a new and fresh R&B wave take over once Justin Timberlake and Beyonce launch their full-force offensives. And I'd be most pleased to welcome R&B back at the top of the mainstream, well at least the first half of 2013. And perhaps, that's one of the reasons why I'd prefer ARTPOP to have an album summer release, since it's when pop music in general would be effortlessly prevalent with expected major releases from some of her contemporaries being dropped by that time. craig 680
A few more hours and Brit.i.am's dance song will pass her old boyfriends new release with Jay-Z. In Canada she's already ahead 100 vs .58.
Guest
Here for a TFM-esque "Teenage Nightmare" tbh. It would make sense since she's been on some spiritual travel lately. Or imagine Teenage Nightmare to be a dubstep/brostep album :hor:

Or imagine Teenage Nightmare to be a dubstep/brostep album Ever since Sia Furler was confirmed to be working with Katy Perry for the Teenage Dream follow-up, I'm quite expecting something close to Diamonds, which may suit Katy's style somehow. And I wonder what would be the musical direction for her next album now that Dr.Luke, being exclusively signed with Sony, could no longer work with her. As for S&S vs S&T, and as much as I'm a huge fan of Justin Timberlake, I'm here all the way for S&S to at least peak within the top five.

I'm betting on Katy over Dr. Luke. Now whenever he does songs for Jessie J or Kesha, people say they sound like Katy. The public considers it "her" sound because she squeezed all the freshness from it. Gaga really should have done the same with Redone.
SomethingMore 1,701
Timberlake - #3 US, #6 Canada, #9 Oz, but #1 UK great numbers! If his lead single wasn't so...weak (but awesome) he would get #1 all over the place.

Besides, she can always work with the likes of Max Martin, one of the industry's consistent hit-makers, and even StarGate, of which I've no doubts she would. But still, it'd be quite refreshing to see her without one of the core reasons behind the success of Teenage Dream as a whole, and eventually the ultimate rise of Katy Perry in the charts. Dangerous Man 9,245
I'm also excited for Katy's new album... If the impact of TD hasn't gone yet, her next album might debut with the sales of 300k-500k copies. "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body." Alii 2,039
I can`t wait for Katy`s new album, I`d like her to stay with TD style :flutter:
Dangerous Man 9,245
Yeah. I also want Katy to stick with TD style. TD is my fav. pop album with it comes to not-so-serious-theme songs. Dangerous Man 9,245
btw, KATY PERRY Firework 15.391 +3.924 what happened though? LADY GAGA The Edge Of Glory 11.459 +0.221... her biggest radio song. :flutter: "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body."
