Arturo 40,746
Gaga will never sell singles like Katy unless Gaga starts releasing basic soulless crap. I prefer the album sales and tour gross.

Except that Rolling in the Deep, Bad Romance, Somebody that i used to Know, I'm yours and We are Young arent soulless crap and still sold a lot. Just because a song is generic or soulless it doesnt mean it will sell, the same goes to the opposite. She can sell singles like Katy. She would have done it if she released Scheisse, Heavy Metal Lover and Hair instead of Judas, Yoü and I and MTN. this. and if Katy starts selling more albums earlier into this next era, her single sales will drop consequently. Math 92
Adele disagrees she'll always be the exception even in the UK, her homecountry, 3rd single SFTT struggled and peaked at #11 if i'm not mistaken how much did it sell in the US?

Arturo 40,746
When did I ever say that songs that sell a lot are crap. I was specifically talking about Katy. Everything she releases to radio is not risky at all. Of course it'll sell when you're playing it safe.
