Pure Adrenaline 1,518
Justin Timberlake's Mirrors enters the HOT 100 chart at #24, while One Direction's newly released single debuts at #45. And speaking of debuts, P!nk's Just Give Me A Reason finally enters the HOT 100 chart at #84. Rooting for P!nk on this one in the long run. and probably the main reason of all this songs entering in the HOT 100 is the new HOT 100 formula+ Stay would never peak at #3 if this rule doesn't existed.... it's such a mess If this new rule was made back when MTN video was released it could've been easily top 10 hit giving it the fact that the video broke the YT record making more than 5 million views in less than 24 hours + the MTN audio which got a boost of views from people that didn't want to watch the whole video, the song would've get so much streaming and peak in much higher position, not only that but Judas would've been top 5 hit and BTW probably would've been #1 for 10+ weeks because of it's audio becoming the most watched audio in YouTube.....and let's not talk about BR and Telephone with the tons and tons of parodies with more than 10 million views each parody the songs would've been #1 for decades. It's much more fun to have hizophrenia... u never get lonely
Mills 446
I think Rihanna might brake nickis hot 100 record of most songs on it in a week with this new rule. 22 Diamonds 23 Pour It Up K Another track from Unapologetic, Loveeeeeee Song is currently at #63, after being #88 last week. 4 songs in the HOT 100 for Rihanna. Anyone know if Pour It Up is getting a video? It's such a smash, it would be a waste if it didn't. Rihanna tweeted that it's the plan for Pour It Up to have its own music video, now whether that plan would come into fruition is another story. But I'm really hoping they'd do it since PIU is doing well in the charts. and probably the main reason of all this songs entering in the HOT 100 is the new HOT 100 formula+ Stay would never peak at #3 if this rule doesn't existed.... it's such a mess If this new rule was made back when MTN video was released it could've been easily top 10 hit giving it the fact that the video broke the YT record making more than 5 million views in less than 24 hours + the MTN audio which got a boost of views from people that didn't want to watch the whole video, the song would've get so much streaming and peak in much higher position, not only that but Judas would've been top 5 hit and BTW probably would've been #1 for 10+ weeks because of it's audio becoming the most watched audio in YouTube.....and let's not talk about BR and Telephone with the tons and tons of parodies with more than 10 million views each parody the songs would've been #1 for decades. Exactly. If this chart rule change was implemented a lot earlier, a lot of Gaga's singles would have performed way better. But more importantly, Bad Romance could have hit #1 in the HOT 100 chart. On the other hand, songs like Baby, Super Bass, On The Floor could have been number ones as well with the inclusion of YouTube views. Not to mention, Gangnam Style could have spent more than 12 weeks at #1. :reno:
WarriorPrince 1
If you count lyric videos and live performances, she does pretty well. MTN video views were as good or better than sales and airplay of the song. Judas much better. No need now to hold back the video for weeks (BTW, EoG) to goose sales when airplay is peaking. Oh right. That means Judas would have peaked way higher and longer on the top 10. Nice, i guess.

Tommymonster44 0
But her videos are not watched that much. (?) Overall, her videos aren't watched much compared to her contemporaries. However, overall view count isn't what is included in the chart. It's the views a song receives on a week to week basis, which Gaga succeeds at. Her videos always generated a lot of buzz when they are released.
Guest
Has Loveeeeee Song been sent to urban radio or why does it keep rising?
WarriorPrince 1
So in these new rules do you think that sales are at the same level as radio or is radio more important than sales with the new rules?
