Mills 446
No.1 Debuts usually don't have longevity. I don't like that. I would like that Gaga has a single climbing in the charts and eventually go No. 1 , I don't understand why fans want a No. 1 debut That's true. And it seems we'd no longer see a #1 debut anyway, with the new rules set by Billboard, making Katy Perry arguably the last artist to do that feat in case. I, too, love sleeper hits, but I prefer lead singles that impact the charts quickly as it shows the strength of one's fanbase.
Arturo 40,746
I agree. I must admit that I enjoyed seeing S&S climb up the Hot 100 vs. seeing it plummet continually downwards. #1 debut or not it still sold just as much as her last 2 #1's so I'm not too concerned about it. Sales >>>> peak position. If Britney's next single can manage Double Platinum without even reaching #1, I would be happy with that. And I'd be even happier if it managed 3X Platinum. S&S video preview: Jean, sis, you are SERVING with that Blond Ambition pony tail and that outfit. Rent-A-Rapper X4

Britney with those hip-hop moguls, Diddy and Lil Wayne, gets me excited. :excited2:
Ozzy8923 9
Rent-A-Rapper X4 Does that take away from the fact that she is ****ting there? I don't use the song, but the video makes it all worth it. She looks even better than the original one. She needs this look next era or I will cut her. This could seriously get Jean some much-needed urban cred. I'm ready for that crossover hit Britney!

Sora 1
It'd be 2010 all over again... I'd want too for ARTPOP to become the top best-selling album of the year, both in the US and worldwide, given that serious threats such as Adele would most likely not releasing an album this year. It seems it'd be Gaga and Eminem who'd be battling for the top spot this year. Then there are also the likes of Katy Perry, Beyonce, and Britney Spears along the way with their major releases. I wonder who'd be named Billboard's Artist of the Year with huge competition all throughout the year. I also took notice that Lady Antebellum would also release a new album this year. They're quite huge sellers of albums in the US, and the award-giving bodies seemed to love them too, based on their previous albums. How exciting, we gonna have a full on battle with all this major releases - TBH makes things more interesting. of course hope GaGa slays - we shall see how it all plays out
Alii 2,039
I don`t care if Gaga doesn`t debut at #1, I`d prefer the single to take about 2 weeks to reach the top spot :legend:
CANNOGABANG 4
I don`t care if Gaga doesn`t debut at #1, I`d prefer the single to take about 2 weeks to reach the top spot She will effortlessly debut at #1. It's Lady Gaga, with her legions of rabid fans (in a good way of course).
ryebread251 0
She will effortlessly debut at #1. It's Lady Gaga, with her legions of rabid fans (in a good way of course). Now that Billboard counts radio plays through tuesday if Gaga gets a radio deal on monday she may be able to chart in the lower regions of the chart the first week (like Taylor Swift did) and then shoot up to number 1 when sales are actually factored in. Of course if she decides to release the lead single on a firday like she did last time, the extra radio days may actually help her hit number first week. I guess it depends on what day she releases it.

Ozzy8923 9
Britney is the only good looking person on this. Please Britney, don't collab with Will.I.Am anymore! I'm warming up to the idea. I realize that S&S longevity in the US is due to the fact that will.i.am is a much more acceptable artist for a straight man to like as opposed to Britney Spears. That helped her not only reach a wider audience (S&S will become her highest peaking single on Rhythmic), but better digital sales. They're a pretty indestructible combo. Britney makes initial hype and attracts the gays, females, and Pop radio and will.i.am pulls in those rhythmic programmers and straight dudes. And she's looked better in the 2 videos for S&S than she has for most of the FF era videos. Let's not forget that will.i.am Is great at writing anthemic tunes and lyrics and his productions are pretty solid so I'm EXCITED for his participation in album 8. Competition does bring excitement out of everyone since everyone would be expected to bring their A-game, which in the end is beneficial for all the music fans. I don`t care if Gaga doesn`t debut at #1, I`d prefer the single to take about 2 weeks to reach the top spot Just like Taylor Swift's WANEGBT exactly did. I honestly just would love Gaga to reach #1 in the HOT 100. I've been waiting for #4 for a long time. Hopefully, ARTPOP would bring it. I'm warming up to the idea. I'm a fan of will.i.am and Britney's collaborations so far. I actually like BFB from FF, and now with S&S, I'm more than looking forward to their future works together. And I'm liking how will.i.am's starting being Britney's modern-day Max Martin, in terms of writing and producing for her. Here for a heavy involvement of will.i.am to Britney's Album 8. :excited2:
