I really hope it would considering it's only her second single and the follow-up to the biggest pop radio hit ever :wtf:

I doubt it will though, it's showing all the same signs "MTN" did. Strong early radio performance, middling digital sales, and it's probably going to peak on radio very soon due to poor research.

what you takin bout ?

So even a legendary pop star like JT can't make an overwhelming come back? :eww:

This makes me appreciate Britney's comeback more.

Britney manages a successful career despite doing Euro-dance that was uncool with radio until recent years.

Now Timberlake is the one making music that's out of fashion.

Timberlake back to #7 US but down to 13 UK, 14 Oz, 15 Canada.

Perhaps the newly released official lyric video of S&T arguably helped.

Britney's stuff is quite far from eurodance..

She had Max Martin, a Swedish producer. Toxic was by Cathy Dennis, an Englishwomen who wrote hits for Kylie. It did better in Europe than US. Britney struggled with US airplay on her 3rd through 5th albums. Dance pop was perceived as either Euro or 80s through most of 1993-2008 period.

Eurodance is a genre in its own right and Britney's music really has nothing to do with it. Eurodance ≠ European-produced electropop.

Britney's music isn't even dance music, really. It's way too R&B- and urban-influenced to count as such. Or just pure pop.

Nooo. Then what, would you say Bad Romance, Poker Face and Judas are euro dancepop because RedOne is Swedish? Noo
