So I guess this is his solution to attract the moderate vote? Hopefully it pays off but he’s going to need to do more then this to have a chance in the next set of states.

Barbara Lee. Nearly as progressive as Bernie, a WOC, very well liked, incredibly smart and charismatic, and also extremely well liked among other politicians (Jim Clyburn adores her despite the fact he's a center/center left politician and she's a leftist).

The only issue is a) her age and b) she made some Castro friendly comments. Biden has a legit shot at flipping FL, and those Castro comments would come back to haunt them. But she would basically check every box except "from a swing state."

I'm not terribly familiar with her, but people have said Val Demings (a Black congresswoman from Florida who was the first female police chief for Orlando) is pretty progressive...not like Tammy Baldwin/Barbara Lee progressive but still more towards the left than the center-left.

If Bernie pulls off the win, he needs to go moderate or center left..so ironically, for Bernie...Kamala would be the perfect fit.

Not happening. It'll turn off too many potential Dem voters and decrease their turnout.

As for Republicans, white men will vote for Trump like last time. So will white women. They tend to put the white before the woman.

That would be a terrible move 95% of republicans support trump. It would just cause a massive amount of progressive democrats to stay home when it’s time to vote.

LMAO. Y'all still  blaming Obama for Trump? Not Hillary's campaign which made some critical mistakes (like choosing Tim Kaine), the media, Russian interference, and racist whites in the rust belt? Nope, it's Obama's fault. This is coming from someone who can be objective and quite critical of Obama...but this mindset of "thanks Obama" is so stupid.

And where's this youth turnout Bernie promised? It was down in IA/NH/NV/MN/etc....despite having far more registered Democrats than there was in 2008. But guess where there was record turnout that beat 2008....in freaking VA and a few other states where Biden crushed Bernie, especially with Black voters.

I'm voting for Bernie (I was originally a Warren stan), but sh*tting all over other Democrats and acting like Obama was the same as W. has been insanely detrimental to the cause.

Voters react to the current reality they were put in. No **** Obama had impact. Yeah he saved fhe economy but it only worked for the rich. W horrible trade deals and sending jobs off, it caused financial strain on many working class people bc their jobs were running away to China. They voted for Trump bc he ran as a fake populist that was gonna bring the jobs back. Ofc he lied, but he won so. That’s what I’m referring too. 
 

and it also explains the increase of racism. When societal financial restraint happens, people get desperate and are open to anything. It creates the perfect environment for an evil leader to convincingly tell a lot of people “it’s the other” that is causing all the problems.  Look up the Treaty of Versailles and how that created the perfect storm for Hitler’s rise.
