River 113,423
I think I've never seen such a diversity in a music video, dancers from all the skin colors, body types, hairy/hairless, etc. there's so many type of people that it's so easy to feel related, if it's for a tribe or for a dancer, it's just feels like one united group of people, like how we really should be. It's just amazing how once again Gaga managed to do something so united and so human. The video is really bringing the BTW message to light and this is why the video is so special and why I really love it. Come on and wrap that blade of grass around my hairy ass
Twitter 14
The diversity was one of my favorite things I loved about the music video.
Modern Ecstasy2 2,202
I love to see it It’s such a simple and easy thing for an artist to do, but it leaves really meaningful and lasting impacts, especially for people who have in any way felt different or outcast We stan an inclusive Queen “Delete this thread that person is not Gaga he is a hot blonde twink”

I remember when I saw the artRAVE and one of her dancers was pretty large at the time (we all know who she is, but I don't her name), and she was on stage, doing her job as a dancer. Then you get singers like Bey who only employ black dancers or only employ those who fit with the aesthetic and have the right body. I distinctly remember her having two black women do the background vocals to ARTPOP on The Tonight Show too. Gaga's always preached inclusion and equality - and she practices it too with her live shows. The only time she didn't was in 2008 with Dina & Pepper. Bey doesn’t employ black dancers for just an “aesthetic”. I don’t see a problem in wanting to employ/ give jobs to countless talented black men and women. Bey has had the same band, dancers, and singers throughout her entire career. For Coachella she hired male dancers which she never usually does and hired plus sized women. OT: I had the same thought while watching SL it made me really happy to see her include all those people 💋 𝕊𝕥𝕖𝕡 𝕐𝕒 ℂ𝕠𝕠𝕜𝕚𝕖𝕤 𝕌𝕡💋🍪
