I litterally didn't even know CTTR's lyrics were supposed to be political until last year when I came back to pop forums and stan twitter after a couple of years :toofunny:

It could be about anything for someone who wasn't following pop star's political positions (like me at the time of the CTTR release) so I guess that most people just enjoyed the song as a fun pop song with kinda subtle lyrics.
