I think part of it is that where it is like BTW in dance-heavy scenes, it doesn’t have the same variety of set pieces that make BTW a wonder to watch. So that would be my one change. I don’t *hate* any of it, but I’ve loved everything she’s put out. Been here since TF, stuck around through every hiatus, and this is eh to me. It’s not bad, I just don’t feel like it really crackles, ya know? HOWEVER, I have heard this in the club already and it sounds amazing there. It's REALLY fun there especially in the landscape of current club music. I just mean in an everyday listen I'm not FLOORED, but throw it on when i'm out and it's a great time and Gaga's ZL interview made me feel more fondly towards it. EDIT: listened to just the song in my headphones. Ok it slaps, though still doesn’t hit it on lyrics for me. So I guess it’s just the video not matching the song aesthetic that makes me eh on it. So I went into it knowing it wasn’t and I absolutely love it! I love seeing fun and happy Gaga. Not her best, but it works with the song and I am so ready for this era!!! It felt very one note for that reason. A similar video, BTW, had a few different sets so a dance-heavy video still felt dynamic. This wasn't *bad* but it felt like a choreo video, ya know? Peace 1,588 Posted February 28, 2020 Share Posted February 28, 2020 song is flat with no chorus, it starts suddenly with no intro and there is nothing special in song, like you listened to nothing after it's finished, its not eventful. and video is like a homemade video, everything from outfits to messy choreography screams homey. the whole era feels forced and uninspired, she lost her touch somehow through and after ARTPOP. I'm not judging her and her art, but as someone who listened to her since JT I'm just stating my opinion and to be honest the number of years that I haven't enjoyed Gaga as an artist have surpassed the number of years I really enjoyed her artistry. it would be better for her to start an era when really feels inspired and has something new and enjoyable, she used to travel the world and create her best songs from getting inspiration from different nation, now she is just at US.
