The truth is: she did insert things that are deeply meaningful to her in this video. She does believe she's saying something important with this song and the video. This is Gaga. Not Ariana. I'm still shook the song is the exact same as this leak, but it's still my favourite lead. Not sure whether it'll be a hit now but that doesn't matter to me. At least Interscope paid Spotify for once and she's glistening at the the top of Top Hits playlist. (Shame Apple can't do the same for their big playlist though 🙄🙄🙄) As for the video, I'm content, although I was expecting more, from the cinematic teasers. It's shorter than I was expecting. I remember feeling more satisfied with Applause and Perfect Illusion I dunno 😂 the video seems so low budget and I thought they could have done more with the world they were in. The choreograph's slightly messy, but we wanted choreo and we finally GOT IT kids! Her choreographer team from the past few years need firing or at least updating. But let's stream the **** outta SL. I've purchased on iTunes, Amazon and Google Play already. I think the Gp will be less critical than us. Not saying there aren’t valid criticisms but most of you seem to be jumping on the hate bandwagon for the sake of it and it’s really tiring. "I am red you are blue" is what I thought the second I saw the first visuals of the poster. To me, this is an absolute old-school Gaga. She called herself "retro-sexual" on multiple occasions and this just might be the definition of it. She is reviving her old days and boiling it down to her central message: all I ever wanted was love. If you want to call this shallow, "not that deep" or whatever, you're also attacking The Fame, Just Dance, Born this Way etc. etc. It's the same aesthetic, the same energy, the same message.
