They changed it in 2018 to weight free and paid streams differently, but before that point it was still 1 download = 150 streams for songs. For albums, it was 1 album sale = 10 track sales = 1500 streams, but they also modified that in 2018 to be 1 album sale = 10 track sales = 1250 paid streams = 3750 free streams. That's only for Billboard; for RIAA certification purposes, it's been 1 download = 150 streams (paid or free) for songs and 1 album sale = 10 track sales = 1500 streams (paid or free) for albums since 2016.

Exactly.  Every new song (apart from Ariana/Billie at their peaks) declines in streams in its first 3-4-5 days until it stabilizes.

But the rest have current hits that currently rising, and/or have multiple hits from the past that are still very popular.

Gaga released her song four days ago already. Most of the stans have bought and streamed the song too many times to count. This increase is GP increase
