I really don't understand how someone like Selena can do numbers like 10-12M daily on Spotify her first few days of release but Gaga can't. Is Gaga that much of a polarizing artist?

it's because kids and teens who uses streaming the most love Selena meanwhile Gaga was there doing jazz covers and Joanne while those people were growing up. Gagas fans are mostly adults/elders, thats why she is dominating Itunes even when no one else seems to be able to sell their music anymore.

The same way Gaga can pull almost 200k pure albums sales in the first week and Selena barely 50k
