90s/2000s Anime, and video games.

But I don't remember that sorta color saturation from anime or video games from that era...or maybe it was. Suddenly some memories are being resurfacing....

Honestly the environment could've have been executed using various techniques.

- Miniature set with CGI enhancements.

- Real full sized set with some CGI extensions in the background.

- Entirely VFX, and if that is the case I can 100% assure you that the green light is not from a green screen lmao. That is a pretty easy issue to fix/avoid and I highly doubt they would just let that go oof.

- On set with a lot of VFX enhancements.

- Mixture of all these methods.

I can't figure out what green screens you're talking about, I can't see anything. I'm more concerned about the reflection in the glasses of a guy and a girl, although I'm sure this was intended, it's clearly a reflection of crystals or something, I don't think it's a lamp.

3.Yes definately, there's always little SOMETHING haha. Not that the reflection is something bad but as a photographer I see these things and it's kinda unprofessional for me

It's supposed to look unprofessional, this aesthetic is directly referencing 70s-80s B Grade sci-fi films.

I think the fact it's Stupid Love correlates visually in the sense that the aesthetic is lowbrow and opulent with an unpolished "stupid" look to it.

I think it's really smart. They would have spent lots of money on this, so everything is intentional.

I think people need to realise that there is no technical problems that were accidents. These are all intentional, this B-grade aesthetic is referencing 60s-70s sci-fi. They would have intentionally made it look low quality, cheap and unpolished. Get ready for some conceptual visuals again! Daniel is a critically acclaimed director. He knows what he is doing and I'm sure this video will be quite innovative visually.

I feel within the concept of Stupid Love the video is following with "stupid" aesthetics, not literally but more so in the fact that there is oversaturated colours, visible studio lights, low-budget CGI. I think its all related to the concept.

However, there could be another idea that the sci-fi narrative we have seen in this (her breaking up a fight on another planet) can potentially be reflecting on the current political climate in America. She and the director could be simply saying "I don't care lets get stupid and just love each other"

I feel the other worldly aesthetic and fantasy-scifi aesthetic is almost saying that Gaga wants to be in another world where love and peace is common. This is further supported by the low-brow, low budget aesthetic. It's supposed to look fake. It's supposed to look like a construction that is colourful, fake and artificial. Because that isnt our reality at the moment. We live in a scary, confined confirmative environment where discourse and fear thrives.

just some thoughts i had from it!
