A) because not telling stores they’re not gonna get the supply they’ve been ready for/prepared for etc is really in professional! B) at the same time they can ask not to tell or just announce to the fans. I always got some kind of adrenaline rush with the wait of driving to the music store, finding it under the “new releases” section of the store, purchasing it, fangirling over it, parking my car and turning the music up as loud as possible.
