It's been up on Twitter for like 2 days now, Justin said that it wasn't the version he heard on set, and Bobby liked his tweet. I think it has potential to become a single, but it'd probably have to be the HL version. The instrumental itself is killer, and I don't know anyone who'd be like, "Ew, what song is this." Besides, SL is literally perfect single material, yet it's doing mediocre. I feel like the time of "single material" is over, at least, for someone like Gaga. I mean, I wouldn't have thought Shallow would've become as big as it was. I feel like with Gaga, people just want unique sounding stuff. Bad Romance, TEOG, Applause, Just Dance, Poker Face, Alejandro, etc. weren't successful because they were "single material", they were successful because they were just great songs that people latched on to. It's been up on Twitter for 2 days now; if it was the final version, or at the very least, very close to what the final product sounds like, I feel like they would've taken it down by now. That said, I mean, it's very difficult to talk about a song that we've only heard 30 seconds of from a short, LQ snippet. I think that it has potential, but it's certainly not a homerun or anything like that. Again, I think that the HL instrumental itself is amazing, and I feel like that could get a lot of people interested. As for Shallow, I mean, I can understand why you'd think it was a safe single choice, but I certainly didn't think so. I feel like people have made an exception for Gaga. They almost sort of expect her to make really weird and unconventional sounding music. P.S. I'm not a Little Chartster by the way.
