Movie studios have done that with movies, so I could see record labels doing that their music. Again, not saying that I believe it will be delayed or that I want it to be delayed, I'm just saying that I think it may be a possibility, even though it's not likely. As someone who lives in the chart thread I can tell you it's 100% not the stupid thing to do to delay it - her team are really up against the current climate and with SL performing the way it has done it hasn't helped matters. They need to change the tide from a business perspective. But.. I appreciate that people in here just don't care about numbers sans what's the peak 1st week. smokeandhush 992 Posted March 22, 2020 Share Posted March 22, 2020 I understand Future Nostalgia being postponed being it's Dula Peep's sophomore effort and it's important for her singles and album to do well at this point in her career. But they should release Gaga's on time, or even NOW. Our fanbase alone is enough to make it #1. I'm pretty confident Gaga won't have any majorly successful singles. So who cares just release it. Someone posted in this thread earlier today that ASIB (and I believe Joanne) both mainly consisted of streams/online sales rather than physical copies of the album. The reason why I think it's a stupid decision is because if she did delay it, she'd probably delay it until Fall or Winter. People have said that this pandemic could last for many more months, so what would delaying it a few weeks do? Practically nothing.
