I know most of you will hate me for this... But Babylon IS... That song... :bradley:

Why would anyone hate you for sharing your honest opinion? Oh wait, this fanbase totally would.

Hearing this snippet, and taking what Justin said in PAPER mag about the album being based on old school house... I’m gonna love it so much. I’m hoping for the most obscure tracks, like some real 12” type songs that just go repetitive for 6-7 minutes. God she would be such a badass if she did that.

That ain’t happening in the age of streaming where they want every song to be like three minutes long because we are a dumbed down society with low attention spans. 🙄

It’s thirty seconds of one song Lord Jesus why are y’all hypercritical

I wonder if the little complainers who "hate" talking on songs likes Sexxx Dream.

I really don’t get why people are melting down over this song... They would die for such a masterpiece if she released it before ASIB :saladga:

The leak reminded me of the bridge in HML, so I'm a little shocked people are canceling the song after a few seconds because HML is a fan favorite

Not wanting to make sense out of Babylon's lyrics making me read Bible quotes and other religious websites.
BUT, I can say that there are a lot of interesting elements to this.

Babylon is depicted in Christianity as materialistic, wicked city, that used astrology, and promoted (false) idols.

Also, apparently, they were REALLY sexually active in Babylon! Orgies all day every day!
https://listverse.com/2018/09/14/10-kinky-sexual-practices-of-ancient-babylon/

'' The Babylonians weren’t bashful or shy when it came to getting down and dirty; they would do it anytime, anywhere, and seemingly with anyone, whenever they wanted. Babylonians would openly have sex in the center of town, go for a midday excursion out in the countryside, or even climb up atop a rooftop and decide to do the nasty overlooking the city. ''

Also it was seemingly quite gay.

'' Like most other cultures on Earth before the Judeo-Christian domination which took place after Constantine made Christianity the official religion of ancient Rome, the Babylonians felt no sense of social stigma about homosexuality, and like the ancient Greeks, they practiced it openly and freely.  ''

The Tower of Babel also resides in Babylon, or rather the inspiration of the story of Babel might be inspired by Etemenanki, a temple that resides in what was then Babylon. The Tower of Babel would be a link to the words '' talk '' and '' babble '' being used in the lyrics.

There's also, like I've previously mentioned, a book called '' Hollywood Babylon '' which is a book about the dirty dark secrets of Hollywood celebrites from way back when. This links to the use of '' gossip '' in the lyrics.

I also wonder if the ***** of Babylon will be referenced in the song as well.

I'm also a bit stumped whether the song will be critical of this symbolic '' Babylon '' since the dictionary defines Babylon also as '' a city devoted to materialism and sensual pleasure '' which might symbolize the age we live in now. But on the other hand, Babylon sounds like a pretty cool place, so where will this song go message wise, can't say for sure.

Either way, it's EXTREMELY Gaga, very, VERY Gaga. Striaght up The Fame + BTW Gaga.

"My source just got back to me. UMG’s last major release to be allowed without altering its rollout was After Hours.

UMG is looking into the postponement of all major album releases in which physical albums were not yet produced. They’re figuring out release dates based on SME and WMG moving their releases.
Massive restructuring for albums in (somewhat) coordination between the 3 big publishing companies UMG/WMG/SME. It’s not just Gaga, it’s everyone.
My source said they’re being rolled out on 3 to 8 week postponements maximum."

"Does ur source know it the album delay also affects ROM's release?"

"They said 4/3 is still the set date but he doesn’t think it’s been updated.
I think Warner’s last major release without a postponement will be Dua Lipa’s album. " :icega:

"I don’t think you guys are understanding the gravity of this situation and the amount of time and planning put into these decisions that are affecting the entire music industry.
For those of you saying the situation will be worse in the coming months, yes maybeso. However, there’ll be more time to mass produce physicals. "

"Also I must add, I asked my friend if Chromatica was delayed and all he said was that all major publishers including UMG, which employs him, were looking at postponing major releases. No word of a definite postponement of Chromatica. It could have the same release date. After Hours was the only one UMG didn’t even consider postponing. Chromatica, like other UMG albums, are in consideration, not definite postponement. " :green:
