I love how you spilled here. When was the last time Gaga properly delivered an astonishing visual for one of her MVs? and I mean a mixture of gorgeous visuals, storyline, etc. The fact that Interscope made Gaga sign a contract with Apple to release a MV shot on iPhone for her return to pop is.... something. It's not even a bad video, but it's subpar, the fact that rappers are making way more interesting videos and overall good, pleasing aesthetics to make good company to the music is saying something. I'm not saying Gaga lost interest in her art, but she clearly doesn't have the same sparkle and creativity she used to have, and I kinda blame it on the media when during her ARTPOP days they would DESTROY her vision and vision, I've always felt that ever since those days, she hasn't been the same in terms of creativity. I love her and this is just my opinion, I respect her and always will, but I hope the Chromatica era will prove us wrong.

I totally agree with you

I'm fine, Ta

Couldn’t agree more. I mean look at that Paper Magazine photoshoots. Why can’t her album cover or her music videos look like that? Why can’t her music feel as experimental and as eerie as her aesthetic? Why not collaborate with those photographers to direct your works?

I mean Bjork may not have a fraction of the budget Gaga is given yet she proves time and time again that she’s a master of innovation for each era and she’s so brave to experiment with new genres and new visual projects, The Weeknd makes amazing short films and music videos, Tove Lo made two short films for her Lady Wood album that are more engaging than anything any female pop singer made in recent memory.

Like you, I feel like she and Madonna don’t seem as invested as they used to be and when people say “they have nothing to prove”, I’m inclined to disagree because an artist always innovates and there’s always a new milestone to cross, that’s how every unforgettable artist was.

You can't blame them tho, we are in the middle of a worldwide pandemic so release plans are cloudy and Gaga has not teased the album except for the Paper interview which honestly gave us a lot, like a LOT of info on it, we got lyrics, the sound of the album, insight on her personal life, but... I don't know, it's the fact that she doesn't talk to us anymore, we could be asking some questions about the album idk, she could go live on IG and chat with us, spill a bit, tease a bit, she could go live to just play Stupid Love on her piano like a lot of artists are doing during this crisis but she's just dead silent, that's why most people are being "dramatic", I love her but it has been a boring era so far except for the first week.

Exactly! Gaga still has a lot to prove, she's a brilliant artist and musician but she just lacks consistency, she gives off this idea that she's not invested 100% on her work anymore, at least to me, which is sad, but still better than nothing i guess, I remember a few years ago I couldn't stan any other artists because I just found them so boring compared to Gaga, even K-pop artists are delivering amazing visuals and interact with their fans daily.

Sis we get it, you’re bitter that your queen hasn’t been doing well in recent years. But there’s no need to take your anger out in this thread. Feel free to create your own thread about it, but you’re just creating needless negativity at this point.

Blame Coronavirus, not Gaga.

Ye completely agree. I'll get attacked for this I'm sure but honestly I hated the SL video. I found it embarrassing. I hate it when she makes stuff that only her more dedicated fans would like. So underwhelming when compared to her earlier work. But the Paper Mag photoshoot definitely boosted my hype for the album so I can't judge on just one song and mv.

I'm fine, Ta

We get it. You’re crying and kicking for the past hour or so because your queen’s work is mediocre and somebody said it out loud IN A DISCUSSION THREAD despite it having zero impact on your experience. Feel free to find another thread if you can’t handle differing points of view or get off the internet. Welcome to the real world.

Also this will be my last reply to you because I’d much rather speak to intelligent people who can handle a discussion and you’re not worth any more of my time.

I wholeheartedly agree. International artists, alternative singers and bands, so many types of singers are making way more interesting stuff than Gaga and main pop girls. It’s sad because they have the talent.

I totally respect new and indie or more obscure singers for the outstanding work they do because they’re doing a lot better than most main pop girls.

I mean, I'm not necessarily blaming anyone. I've been a part of all three of those groups at some time in this thread, but I just find it kind of ironic and funny that there are so many people arguing, and people complaining about people arguing, that this thread loses its intention of just being a thread where we can express our feelings on Chromatica and how excited we all should be about it!

I understand that need for more promo though. Personally, I'd love for her to do an IG live situation where she answers questions about the album, but we'll just have to wait and see what they do. I feel like her and her team had a lot of plans in the works, but because of this Coronavirus situation, a lot of that got derailed. I guess it's better than announcing a performance or an interview with a talk show, only to have it be cancelled, though. That said, I'm sure she has a lot of stuff planned for us as we get closer to the album's launch! We just have to be patient and wait a little longer! I mean, we are less than a month away from a brand new solo album! We should be celebrating that!
