So The Weeknd can start promo late but he’ll generate hype because he’s presenting quality work that is marketed the right way. Gaga and most pop girls however, save for Beyoncé maybe with her surprise releases of visual albums, aren’t really that interesting anymore and when fans complain that they aren’t celebrated or are underrated, I’d say they only get the recognition they deserve because most of them aren’t even trying and are just relying on their rabid fan bases to stream them 24/7 while keeping the volume turned down just to game the numbers. It’s pathetic.

Trust me I WANT to get hyped. I want to be excited, but I’m tired of meltdowns.

 Madonna promoted the **** out of Rebel Heart and her Madame X era was pretty well organized. She's working really hard considering her age.  It's not her fault the gp doesn't care about older artists.

Have you seen the photo shop on her album and single artworks? Have you seen how they raise brightness and contrast instead of actual airbrushing? Did you know that she hired a fan called Aldo to do her artworks for free?

Also, Rebel Heart was literally being promoted in some tv shows and then the tour was more like a greatest hits tour than an album tour where she was 3 hours later so many times. All that generated bad press.

She premiered LFL on Snapchat and Meerkat and to top that, the album leaked 6 months in advance. Now that wasn’t her fault and the era suffered because of it yes.

Madame X started off with the right teasing but they released all the wrong singles, Easter Eurovision on promo singles and a clone performance from a year prior and then they gave up on promo and went on a low budget down scaled version of her big tours in a theater, for over priced tickets and no recording to generate any form of hype.

i mean at this point Madonna’s management is literally killing her career and her indifference is not helping

I want to see an outcome. I’m not gonna say she’s a hard worker just because she did The Fame and The Fame Monster right. Sorry, but every music video she made after BTW was cheap and a repetition of a past work, maybe except for Applause only, and this era doesn’t look very promising either.
 

Also, there is no process here. I’m here because I like her music. I’m not here as a special agent to put her or anyone else up or down or to praise or shade anyone and get paid for it.
