BabylonHooker 4,305
so if the theory of 8 Hauses, each Haus will have 2 songs is real, which songs belong to which Haus? Stupid Love is from Kindness Punks Rain On Me is from Spirituals Free Woman is from Freedom Fighters I think Babylon is also from Freedom Fighters because of the lyrics "battle for your life...babble on...", it's like battle for your freedom. Creyk 18,670
Can we talk about one thing? Why oh why are they waiting so long to release these remixes? Remixes usually only make a minor impact, not even all the fans listen to them. And you all know that Stupid Love got extremely bad radio callout scores on radio 2 days ago. So it getting a remix that doesn't use the horn and is therefore less abrasive to radio listeners would be a very good thing. But not 3 weeks from now when radio already dropped the song...but like, right now. As soon as possible. I feel like it will be too little too late to breathe new life into SL 3 weeks from now unless she also does some other things.

Primarily they benefit club scenes and DJs because they offer a way to work popular songs into sets and perform them mixed well with other songs. So there's financial benefit for that reason, plus in this day any streams or purchases of remixes still count towards the song over all. So if someone goes and listens to Stupid Love and then 4 remixes of it, it's 5 streams for Stupid Love. They also work great for use as bonus tracks later on to promote other editions of an album. So really there's MANY reasons for remixes.

In some cases songs get changed to remixes on radios, for example All Of Me received a pop mix so radio would be more willing to play it because they didn't really want to touch a slow ballad like that. I thought if they did a more GP friendly remix they could send that to radios so they can play that instead of the original version. But I see that is not what they are going for then. That's the only reason I think that not even single remixes are happening right now, but mainly because they do only benefit DJs 😂

WOW! That felt like stepping into a time machine! I'm going to read that whole thread now thank you! It's such an interesting thing to notice that though we look on those eras fondly, people were being AS negative if not more than we are today about little silly things... chaeri pls
