Babylon98 4,830 Posted April 11, 2020 Share Posted April 11, 2020 I think the problem with her 2 more recent lead singles is that the tracks have leave no room to breathe to the listener in a way, that's why they aren't commercially viable. They are too fast-paced and have no breaks between verse-chorus-bridge etc. if you listen to Stupid Love it just goes verse-pre-chorus other pre-chorus chorus really fast, you can't even take in the information and it has no sleek production tricks that define the pace and make you excited for what's coming next if you know what I mean. I feel like PI has the same issue, that's why a lot of people dislike it.
