I do like the country tinged songs like MR and SP but she came off as kinda fake with them, especially with John Wayne and A-YO. Her work with Nelson and Cooper is proof thought that she can pull it off, but she kinda has to let go of her obsession with making everything “pop” to do that. That’s why ASIB is a real breath of fresh air in her albums, because it’s very clear she wasn’t allowed to mix up the genres and she had to keep pop songs pop and non-pop songs non pop.
