And listen, people do have the right to be upset, but everytime I see this particular argument, I immediately go to the work she's done and that, if anything, seems much more impactful than releasing an album. I also used to be one of those people who made that exact same argument, and before she revealed that she raised $45mm and helped create the WHO/Global Citizen concert, I still might've made that same argument as well, but her doing actual tangible work that will productively help those in need is far more important right now. Oh I fully acknowledge and my argument has also slightly changed now knowing she's also working in raising money for the benefit. But I still feel she could do both at the same time even if it was just the digital for now with the only finalised promo she's done and needing to wait like a split shift but for promo. And I agree that it's on a larger scale more important right now, but personally for me it's having had the release date set and also so tangibly close that's the part that still currently stings a little.
