And let’s not forget about being grateful, not having caught COVID.  I can only imagine the agony that some fans go through, not only fearing for their lives and the safety of their relatives, as well as being well-aware of the fact that their idol decided to abandon them during the most tough times in their lives. Where is the “Battle for your life!” slogan when it’s most needed? It’s been proven yet again that emotions play a huge part in recovering from seemingly utterly despair filled situations, as many miracles happened when the ill, sick or otherwise doomed people got that sliver of hope to keep on fighting!

So the fact that she had everything in place tells you just how big this era was going to be. 

You keep saying that she "could've released the album digitially", which she very well could've done, but you know that monsters would still complain about the lack of promo. This era was going to be great and spectacular, had it not been for the current pandemic. That's something she just can't ignore. That's the reason I brought it up. She's not going to release the album when she feels like she can do more.

That said, we might get stuff near or after the 18th. We know that she's performing at the concert, and there's a very, very, very slim chance that maybe she'll take that time to announce new stuff. But also, it's clear that she's spent so much of her time trying to raise money and get together all the people necessary for the WHO/Global Citizen concert. I believe that after that, she'll go back to promoting the album.

Yeah, cause I'm sure fans who either have corona, have family members who have corona, or are just more easily susceptible to corona are more worried about an album than the fact that she's raised $45mm to help stop this current pandemic.

God, how awful that she's "abandoning" them.....

That shouldn't be on Gaga. If you place that much importance on one person, you're bound to be disappointed sooner or later. I used to think like you as well, but like... Every artist should have the right to release their work on their own terms. There's plenty of her older stuff to listen to and there's plenty of new music by other artists to listen to. She'll release her art when she feels like it. Do I feel like she could have at least given us a consolation single today? Yeah. But I trust her to do what she thinks is best.
