She infamously has a vault of unreleased smashes that she has no desire to revisit (off the top of my head: Frankensteined and all the different ARTPOP volumes). Exactly, which is why its pretty hard to believe that she would do that now for Chromatica... why would she use a song that was scrapped from the Joanne (LG5) sessions 5 years ago to release on Chromatica? It didn't start out as another song from way back when and end up as Telephone Yes, it was reworked. Who knew that a Britney reject would have been reused for inclusion in The Fame Monster. And you shouldn't know what 'rework' means. It's a kind of reuse of a song, if Gaga wants to release on Chromatica a song that she originally wrote for The Fame, she can, and that song will be revised and reused, it doesn't necessarily have to be another song (like a Earthquake and FOHL situation). Go to timestamp 0:10. The drum beat is a 4 on the floor dance rhythm (kick, snare, kick, snare at regular intervals). Now listen to the leaked version from beforehand (presumably this is the one you have on your phone, unless you accidentally got a reworked fan version ) Go to timestamp 0:41 on this video, and tell me it's the same. I dare you It simply is different. It's indisputable. EDIT: I'm not going to traipse through Twitter in an effort to find her tweets from 2012, but it is also relevant to point out when asked about leaked old fan favourites, she said that she was planning on sharing some of them through the app (if I remember correctly, she said "in new ways", or maybe something about them being "different", a.k.a. reworked).
