I feel like the answer is right in front of us: doing the same line of work for years, a decade, can be quite boring. If anything I hope she makes albums for fun from now on. Her wealth and status have given her the platform to express her thinking and help change the world in any way she can. An actually very similar dialog is Bill and Melinda gates. For 2+ decades Bill was a programmer and CEO, eventually he wanted to use his wealth to focus on real problems. People were very upset that he stopped his original line of work to do something totally unrelated, but now I think he will be remembered as someone who helped fund the eradication of disease and continues to help find solutions even today with COVID. Similarly Gaga is using her energy to solve problems, to fight the injustice against minority groups. She isnt just here to make and spin a record, she is here to change the status quo... She is purposely not talking about it at the moment because it doesn't feel right to her, she made this clear in her statement. And she's focused on the One World event now. The rumours are that the era will start again shortly after the event, it's not far away. You just need to be more patient.
