I think this was very unusual of her, very selfish and mean. Millions of fans are locked in, waiting for new music, suffering from depression and so on so forth. Keeping new material away when it's ready for release just because it "doesn't feel right" shows her true face. If she wanted to cancel earth and bring us together to a new fantasy world where kindness exists this would be the time perfect time. But instead, she's riding this coronavirus wave to make herself look important in front of CEOs. It feels shallow.

Musicians played while Titanic sank, but Gaga... disappointed.

Dramatica out now on streaming services world-wide.

Totally. You probably won’t engage with this given your response - but each one of us has the ability to choose our attitude towards anything in life, regardless of how we feel.

Be disappointed about the delay, but find positivity in that it’s coming soon & when it does it’ll be totally euphoric!

This is an example of gaslighting.
I made it clear that my feelings had been expressed, but you are still trying to change them and assert your own feelings as more appropriate given the circumstances.

Except Interscope calls the shots. Don’t take it out on her.

Shes literally raised over $36 million & is using her platform to fight this virus & to show some unity among powerful figures (honestly, America needs it in some form at the moment) & you’re reducing her efforts to selfishness & her wanting to look important. Wow.

While raising 45m to help others during the pandemic. Yes, she's very selfish and mean.

If people really need new music to listen to at a time like this, they can venture into new artists. This is clearly a time people can do that.

You guys are still going to get the album and you know music is ready. Why even complain? You'll get it eventually and there are so many other things you can do at a time like this.

I think we're all glad that she is working towards raising money and bringing artists together to do a TV special and what not. But that doesn't explain her inability to release music on spotify and youtube to promote kindness during times like these. But instead, she and her record label are postponing the release to a later time so people can buy her merch and haus labs bundles and what not...

Did you get GA?

No. I did the Citi preorder and scrambled to get whatever I could after trying to get the upfront GA tickets for what seemed like hours. We got seats right off the field. Putting outfits together for weeks. She cant cancel. :bradley::bradley::bradley:

I guess you got the GA seats?

just said this on twitter but need to say this in here too

this is so ****ing stupid. y’all new fans don’t really know gaga and that she plans a lot more than just songs. she performs, she serves visuals, appearances, looks, it’s all part of the experience. And she wouldn’t have been able to do that. dumb ****s I hate cupcakes so much. Go stan Dua Lipa or something if you only care about the music.

I completely understand why some of you may be disappointed, and to those who are struggling I hope you are able to find some positivity in your life 💕💕💕💕❤❤💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

I just want to make this clear, what I'm about to say isn't directed at anyone specifically and is more of a general explanation. Its going to be a bit long so I apologize oof.

While this era has indeed been a tad wonky, a large majority of the "letdowns" fans experience are often caused by them believing insiders who end up being completely unreliable. In turn this creates a vicious cycle where whenever a rumored date doesn't pan out, some fans direct all of that anger and disappointment at Gaga (this actually occured a bit today), which simply isn't right whatsoever. Furthermore, if you choose to hype yourselves up on unconfirmed information from "insiders" then that's on you and you alone. That is just one of the many reasons why some users here push back against certain ideas such as the entire delay being solely Gaga's fault.

There have even been entire threads that have been nearly taken over by people saying condescending, or straight up hateful things about Gaga due to a delay/announcement that wasn't related to Chromatica. Some people were even complaining about Gaga raising $45million for Covid-19 whilst saying things like "she was doing it for publicity" or "why can't she release music as well, ugh she hates her fans". Don't even get me started on those who accuse her of being lazy, which is unequivocally a false and completely nonsensical statement. The disappointment some people feel is totally valid, but there is a definite difference between sharing these feelings maturely and sharing overtly negative statements that lack any sort of respect or perspective.

Now, Gaga has stated that she does not want to release the album during this pandemic. There are probably multiple reasons as to why this is the case,

- It is obviously a good financial decision as streaming, and physical sales of music are actually down. There is nothing intrinsically wrong with delaying something to make sure it is successful either.

- Gaga won't be able to do any of the promo she originally intended, which may be more important then some of you may think. If she feels as though Chromatica needs to be delayed to satfisy her creative and perhaps even incredibly personal needs then I think it is a good decision. We've seen how a somewhat derailed era (ARTPOP) has negatively affected her before.

- She diverted her and the team's focus towards helping the world combat Covid-19 as it continued to get worse.

Regarding that last point, yes she could possibly release a song alongside the gathering of the donations and the event, however if she doesn't want to release a promo single at this point in time then so be it. I understand that it might be disappointing, but its her music. If she feels as though raising millions in donations from corporations without asking the public for money, and organizing an event with dozens upon dozens of artists to entertain a struggling world is the right thing to do then again, that is simply how it is. Gaga may very well believe that putting out a song that people need to pay for would be disingenuous to what she is trying to do, especially since she wanted to gather donations without taking money from a  financially crippled public in the first place.

I understand the concept of releasing music to make the world happy during this time. I get it. She is in such a position to make a massive change in the world right now. It’s come with her maturity. Yes, music is so impactful to morale, there’s no denying that. We must realize that people are lacking the basics right now. She’s focused on proper food, medical care, and shelter for people. That’s why she’s asking the 1% for millions, not the people. The live stream concert is supposed to help bring some positivity to the world. To me, releasing an album and attempting to do promo to get sales and streams while people are losing their loved ones everyday is what seems shallow to me.

Or she actually wants to do an era with promotion and performances and interviews.

She was scheduled to do Coachella, perform at the iHeartRadio awards, and have a set at the Apple Music Festival (or something like that), but she can't do any of those things during a pandemic.

I'm guessing Gaga really wanted to experience a full era again, like she did with BTW or ARTPOP, but this is stopping her. Fans would complain that Gaga never does promotion or live performances, but now that she wanted to, it's wrong.

How is she supposed to show the creativeness of "Chromatica" stuck in quarantine?

The album delay is a great decision and now she's using her platform to help others. You can see her as a vicious person for not doing something YOU wanted, but now she's helping others because that's who she is.
